BORN WEST INC. ("we", "us", "our") provides the GCalSync service ("the Service", "the App"), allowing you to sync Google calendars between accounts. Your privacy is critically important to us.

What This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy applies to all information collected through your use of GCalSync and any related services, whether you are a paying customer, a free user, or just browsing.

What Information We Collect and Why

We only collect what we need:

Personal Information:

• Name and Email Address (to create and manage your account, contact you, and authenticate via Google OAuth)
• Calendar Event IDs (to sync your calendars as requested)
• Payment Information (to process your subscription if you purchase a paid plan)
• Usage Data & Device/Browser Events (to improve our service, diagnose issues, and for analytics via Google Analytics)
• Google OAuth Data (to enable you to connect and sync calendars—see Google's privacy policy for details on their handling)

Why we collect it:

• To provide and operate the GCalSync service
• To authenticate users securely
• To process payments and provide receipts
• To improve our service through analytics and understand how our App is used
• To respond to support requests

We don't collect more data than we need, and we never sell your information.

How We Store and Protect Your Data

• Storage: All personal data is stored on Google servers, located in the United States.
• Security: We use encryption at rest, SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit, and restrict access to your information. We conduct quarterly security audits to review and improve our practices.

Cookies and Tracking

We use Google Analytics cookies and similar technologies to understand how users interact with GCalSync. These analytics help us improve the product but do not track you across the web.

Sharing and Disclosure

We don't sell your data. We only share your information with:

• Service providers who help us run GCalSync (e.g., Firebase, Google Analytics, payment processors)
• Law enforcement or government authorities only when required by law or to protect our rights and users

If our company is ever involved in a merger or acquisition, we'll let you know before your information is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Data Retention

• We keep your data as long as your account is active.
• After you delete your account, we retain your data for up to 30 days in case you change your mind, then we permanently delete it from our active systems and backups.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

• Access the personal information we have about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

Note: Export of data is not supported at this time. Opting out of analytics is not available.

California Residents (CCPA)

If you live in California, you have special rights (see the "CCPA Notice" below).

CCPA Notice

• Right to Know: You can request details about what personal information we collect.
• Right to Delete: You can request deletion of your personal information (with exceptions for security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations).
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We won't treat you differently if you exercise your rights.
• We do not sell your personal information.

Children's Privacy

GCalSync is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International Users

If you access GCalSync from outside the United States, you agree that your data will be processed and stored in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

Changes to This Policy

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we'll notify you by updating the effective date at the top of this page and, if material, by providing a notice in the App.
